- THE CHIGWELL LODGE GALA EVENING
in aid of the OrangeAid Lifesaver Appeal
The date is May 7th 2005 at Furze Hill, Margaretting. There are a few tables still available for this night of dancing and fund raising (raffle) and no speeches. The price per person is £36.00. There will be a special gift for all the ladies, so if your Lodge is not having a Ladies’ Festival or you fancy a night out please contact John Lee for more details. - A golf event is being organised by the Chelmsford co-ordinator.
- A special “mystery” event is also being organised by the Chelmsford co-ordinator. Hmmmm, interesting! More to be revealed in due course

- A cross country walk to and from Loughton Masonic Centre had been organised for Sunday 5th June starting at 9am.
Loughton & Ilford (Contact: chris.hicks@orangeaid.info)
- A cross country walk to and from Chingford Masonic Centre had been organised for Sunday 5th June starting at 9am.
- A quiz night at Loughton Masonic Centre starting at 7pm, Sunday 5th June.
- The local council have agreed to give a pay & display car park adjacent to Loughton Centre over to the centre for the day to be used for a ‘Fun For All the Family’ event with a bouncy castle, BBQ and similar activities.
- A golf day has been organised for Tuesday July 5th.

- Sponsored walk between the two centres, followed by;
- BBQ, and;
- Social evening
Kelvedon – Burnham - Maldon - Mersea

- A sponsored cycle ride is planned between Kelvedon – Burnham - Maldon
- A sponsored walk from Kelvedon to Mersea (about 12 miles). There are two volunteers so far.

- A sponsored bike ride of 25+ miles
- A short sponsored walk through Halstead. The oldest likely participant will be 94 years old.
- The Halstead Masonic Centre will be open to promote the event

- There is to be a sponsored 1,000,001 darts match (Hutton)
- A kids’ fishing competition is being discussed (Hutton)

- Possible bike ride from Hutton to Upminster
- Orsett Masonic Centre will be running a sponsored walk on Sun 5th June, starting and finishing at the centre. Staggered start times between 10.00 and midday.Two lengths of walk. 5 miles approx & 2 miles approx. Refreshments available and stewards to show non masons around the Masonic Centre should they so wish.

(4 miles each way). A brother with a vintage car will be offering rides for walkers wanting to return from Southend to Rochford and vice versa after completing their walks. - A picturesque 3.5 mile sponsored walk through the Cranham Marsh Nature Reserve has been arranged for those wishing to support the Upminster initiative. Starting at 11 am on Sunday 5th June it should prove great fun for all taking part so why not bring the family?
