The OrangeAid appeal raises over £2,000 at 
Saffron Walden

The planned 'Fun Event Day' took place on Sunday 5th June at the Freemasons' Hall Church Street Saffron Walden.

Over twenty sponsored walkers navigated the 3 or 4 mile circuit around the perimeter of Audley End Mansion, raising £1500.  A further £500  was raised from:

a.  A raffle on the previous evening by Chypping Walden Lodge
b.  A Sunday Lunch where the diners were treated to gentle piano music
c.  A Charity Auction of some 20 plus items donated by Freemasons and local businesses. 

Over the whole county OrangeAid raised in excess of the £25,000 required to purchase the 'D' class Lifeboat.

The organisers would like to thank all those who took part in the walk, those who kindly sponsored the walkers, the donators to the raffle along with those who gave the charity auction items and the newly formed local branch of the RNLI who set up their stall inside the Hall.
